Is Australia More Corrupt Than the Arabs? Short Answer: Yes.

Corruption in the Middle East is easy to spot.

It’s blunt. It’s loud.

It smells like cash and burns like rage.

But in Australia?

It’s polished. It’s institutionalized.

It’s served with a side of policy and a tax deduction.

We love to point fingers at Arab governments — "Look at the bribes! The nepotism! The stolen public money!"

But in Australia, we don’t call it bribery.

We call it lobbying.

A mining exec donates to a party → a law changes → a permit is approved.

A politician gets caught in a scandal → resigns → lands a $400K private sector job the next week.

No charges. No shame. No problem.

When a mayor in Lebanon does it, it's a scandal.

When a senator in Australia does it, it’s called “networking.”

The truth is: Australia has a corruption problem.

It’s just better at hiding it.

The media won’t say it. The watchdogs barely bark.

But if you're paying attention, it’s all around you — from aged care to water rights to defense deals.

So the next time someone says "at least we’re not like the Arabs"...

Tell them: you're right.

You're worse — because you still pretend you're clean.
